A few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing A&L’s intimate – and secret – wedding in my home town of Bromley!
As soon as I opened Abbie’s email, around 8 weeks prior, telling me their plans and asking if I was available for their last minute wedding, I knew it was right up my street! I mean, not literally but only about 10minutes away from me 😆
The venue was the beautiful Bromley Old Town Hall, their dog – Professor Moriarty – was ring bearer and after some post ceremony drinks they were going to be walking to a local pub where they’d greet their guests who all thought they’d been invited to their engagement party….but it was actually their wedding reception!!!!!
Fabulous!
I’d seen Bromley Old Town Hall, a beautiful wedding venue in the centre of Bromley being refubished as I drive past most days and after seeing the launch of a ‘new wedding venue’, I knew I wanted to photograph there – it’s such a beautiful building which could easily be mistaken for one of the famous London Town Halls!
I loved spending the afternoon with these guys, capturing the groom and his groomsmen preparing the aisle running back and forth with chairs and taking a cheeky swing from their hip flasks, the rings on Professor Moriarty’s collar, the gorgeous colours, the shocked faces of their guests….and just the general ‘chilled’ vibe of the day! It was an absolute joy!!!
Congratulations to you both, thanks for having me…..I hope your guests are over the shock!!!
Abbie & Lewis received a funny wedding gift from one of their guests, just for their fur baby, Professor Moriarty!
Lewis had his Grandfather’s cigarette holder with him on his wedding day….a lovely touch!
